Cardboard goes in your recycling bin, or the paper and card bin where they are collected separately.
How to prepare it
Remove tape and polystyrene, flatten boxes and tear large ones so the lid closes. Extra cardboard can go to the tip.
Common mistakes
Greasy or food-soaked card (such as the bottom of a pizza box) belongs in food waste or general waste.
Does every council do this?
